Characteristic and some application areas of IOT

The Internet of things (IOT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

The IOT creates opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, resulting in efficiency improvements, economic benefits, and reduced human exertions.

The extensive set of applications for IOT devices is often divided into consumer, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure spaces.

For example, when you are on your way home and you want to enjoy the comfort of the air conditioner, you can use your apps in your phone to control the air conditioner. What’s more, industrial IOT devices acquire and analyze data from connected equipment, operational technology (OT), locations and people. Combined with operational technology monitoring devices, IIOT helps regulate and monitor industrial systems.

More and more oversea projects of government ask for increasing functions of IOT, because the government can not only see real-time working status, but also can maintain lamps more easily.

There is several different ways to control IOT connection, 1) one is PLC, i.e control the power line from grid box, assign work task from Dtu & Grps; 2) use ZigBee to control and create mesh work, let’s all lamp work together; 3) use induvial control of each lamp to one of mother lamp nearby.

According to our experience, ZigBee is very user friendly in Asia countries, so most of smart control project take this technology. It has been proven very good.
